At his own request, Klaus Ensinger is giving up his operational management role and therefore his seat on the Ensinger GmbH Management Board. He will, however, continue to provide support to strategic projects and be a member of supervisory bodies.
“I made this decision for personal reasons. What was also important was my desire to have more time in my career for conceptual work and less day-to-day business”, is how the 56-year-old son of company founder Wilfried Ensinger explains his decision. “I would like to initiate and manage projects that drive the company forward in the long term. These include for example orienting the company towards sustainable management, or growth with new products and services.” Klaus Ensinger emphasises that the company should remain family-owned.
An industrial engineer, he worked for an injection moulding company before coming to work for the family business in 1995. In 1997 he joined the Management Board. Alongside the responsibility for several divisions, one key aspect of his management role was heading up the technical business units.
With Dr. Roland Reber, Dr. Oliver Frey, and lastly Mr. Ralph Pernizsak – appointed Managing Director on 1.4.2020 – the Management Board now consists of three people.
All three have long held positions of responsibility at Ensinger. Dr. Roland Reber joined the Management Board 19 years ago. Dr. Oliver Frey, Managing Director since 1.7.2019, was in charge of the Compounds division since starting work at Ensinger. Before Ralph Pernizsak was appointed Managing Director he had already spent six years in charge of the Stock Shapes division, the Ensinger Group’s largest area of operations. The three Managing Directors want to preserve the company culture and values of the family business.
