Lower energy consumption and save costs – through thermal separation with insulbar

Windows, doors and façades are the parts of any building envelope which give off most heat to the surrounding atmosphere. The less effective the insulation, the higher the loss of heat in the form of thermal transmission, heat convection and heat radiation.

Plastic insulating profiles reduce loss of heat

Windows, doors and façade systems made of aluminium, with its high thermal conductivity of λ = 160 W/(m⋅K), are particularly susceptible to thermal and energy losses. In order to reduce the thermal transmission of these systems and to achieve a more favourable thermal transmission coefficient (U value), it is necessary to insulate the window frames and thermally separate their outer and inner shells from each other. Plastic insulating bars from Ensinger are the ideal way of doing this.

Low thermal conductivity for excellent Uf values

insulbar insulating strips are characterized by extremely low thermal conductivity, and so enable excellent Uf values for frames and assemblies, reduce loss of heat and so contribute towards saving energy reducing heating and air conditioning costs.

The savings are determined by the insulating depth: The bigger the insulbar profiles, the more energy and costs can be saved.

The lower the thermal transmission coefficient, the greater the scope for savings: Heating and air conditioning costs depend on the Uf value of the window frame.
