The optimum plastic for every requirement

Improved materials play an important pacemaking role for technological development. This is particularly the case when it comes to thermal separation. Ensinger's unique plastics expertise and over 50 years of experience, as well as the facility for compounding in-house make a crucial contribution to the performance of insulbar insulating bars.

Insulating profiles from the plastics expert

The comprehensive Ensinger Portfolio offers over 100 different standard, engineering and high-performance plastics with the right property profiles to suit wide-ranging applications. In addition, almost 500 different plastic modifications can also be implemented. The application conditions determine the choice of material.

Alongside the fundamental technical criteria which a material must fulfil, climate and weather, among other things, challenge the material in diverse and specifically individual ways. The adapted and exhaustively tested materials used in the plastics which form our profiles provide the assurance of outstanding quality in application.

The plastics we use for our insulbar profiles are almost exclusively polyamides with optimum mechanical properties for the application in question. They fulfil the highest requirements in terms of stability, durability and insulating effect, and their excellent value-for-money ratio impresses customers. We also process materials with additional application-specific properties to comply with different application conditions and product categories.

Proven thousands of times over: Our standard materials

TECATHERM 66 GF:
Capable of withstanding extreme loads. Perfect for hollow chamber profiles with thin walls. For powder-coating and anodizing in the assembly.

TECATHERM 66 GF RE:
100% unmixed recycled polyamide with excellent mechanical properties, environmentally friendly and sustainable, ideal for "green" building and ecological building certification.

TECATHERM PP GF:
Suitable for finished assemblies which are coated prior to the assembly process, such as bicolor systems.

For special cases: Custom-tailored non-standard materials

TECATHERM 66 PPE GF 20:
For highly effective thermal insulation, such as passive house systems, low thermal conduction capacity and high stability, suitable for powder coating and anodising the finished assembly

TECATHERM 66 ESP:
With optimized electrostatic properties for assured powder attraction during powder coating.

TECATHERM 66 GF 40:
For particular stability requirements such as glazing beads and ground sills.

TECATHERM 66 LGF or PP LGF:
Long glass fibre reinforced, high-strength, high rigidity for facade pressure plates or glazing beads.

TECATHERM VE-R-G300:
Continuous glass fibre reinforced, non-melting, flame-retardant for thermally separated fire protection systems.
